Edges: A Song Cycle

Exit Stage Left production directed by Alison McCausland

Written by Oscar winners Benj Pasek and Justin Paul (LaLa Land)

Rondo Theatre, Larkhall, Bath

13th - 15th July, 8pm

Not a play, not a musical, and no plot, just a great series of contemporary songs about life as young adults. So we've all been there and can relate to the humour, problems, surprises, disasters and successes.  And it's brilliant.

There's a slightly jazzy trio accompanying backstage with superb piano playing from Musical Director Lauren Davies, minimal scenery, and terrific vocals from Lucas Porter, Jane Morgan, Grant McCotter and Leah Farmer.

Recognisably American, shades of Sondheim, perhaps even Cole Porter, it never flags or fails to engage.

So, cancel the dodgy dinner date, drop Poldark and get down to The Rondo to catch it while there's time. Something this good doesn't come along every week.
